Telugu actress Eesha Rebba to debut in Malayalam through Ottu (March 17, 2021) The upcoming Malayalam-Tamil bilingual road movie Ottu, directed by Fellini, has already been in the news for Arvind Swami’s comeback to M-Town after 25 years. The movie, which also has Kunchacko Boban in the lead, has Telugu actress Eesha Rebba as the female protagonist. The actress, who is debuting in Malayalam with the film says she is excited about bagging the project. Eesha tells us, “The director saw me in a recently released film and felt that I would suit the role. Soon after listening to the film’s narration, I was so excited that I wished that we would start with the shoot immediately.” She is tight-lipped about her character, but hints, “It is something very new for me. Seeing my makeover and the eventual look, I am sure people will be amazed. Those in other languages would be getting to see me in an altogether different avatar.” Earlier, Fellini had revealed that the film is about the bond shared between two friends. The actress hasn’t met any of her team members yet. “Even the narration happened over phone and I would be meeting them all for the first time on March 27 in Goa where the shoot starts,” Eesha says. The actress divulges she also has plans to hire a tutor to learn Malayalam. “I am also hoping that once I am on the location, I can pick up the language on an everyday basis,” says Eesha, who names Kappela, Driving Licence, Ayyappanum Koshiyum, Ishq and Angamaly Diaries as her recent favourites in Malayalam industry. Eesha also feels she is blessed to do a film with actors like Arvind Swami and Kunchacko Boban. “I am a big fan of them too. I have seen Arvind Swami since my childhood and I loved him in Roja, Bombay and Thani Oruvan. As for Kunchacko Boban, I like Anjaam Pathiraa and Virus the best,” she says, signing off.
